With the Government slowly easing the lockdown measures, many face the challenges of having to commute via public transport. The President, Cyril Ramaphosa, placed immense importance on social distancing and wearing a face mask in public. The public needs to keep a distance of at least 2 meters away from other people.
Limit The Spread on Public Transport
The National Institute For Communicable Diseases (NICD) have advised on the following five measurements that you need to take when you make use of public transportation.
Wash your hands before going on public transport
After touching doors, handrails and money
After making contact with other people
Before touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
When you arrive at your destination
Always wear your mask
The public should always refrain from sharing masks as this poses extreme risks of spreading the virus. The President continued by saying, face masks should not be substituted for daily washing of hands or sanitizing. We encourage everyone to follow the correct procedure when handling their face mask.
