We are looking for a skilled and caring Nurses to assist with a range of community healthcare services in the Piketberg area. This role will involve providing clinical preventative care, patient management, and support for health campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a passion for community health and the ability to work effectively in diverse, sometimes challenging, environments.
Job Title: Registered Nurse
Vacancy type: Immediate start position
Shifts: Monday to Friday, 07:30 AM to 04:00 PM
Pay rates: Earn up to R250.35* per hour
Transport: Own transport required; reimbursement per kilometer

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Preventative Activities: Administer immunizations, vitamin A, deworming treatments, and provide sexual and reproductive health services (family planning).
Women’s Health: Perform cervical screenings and breast examinations in community settings.
Patient Care: Take blood samples (e.g. liver function) for bedridden patients when required.
Basic & Wound Care: Assess referrals from hospitals and Primary Health Care (PHC), create nursing care plans, allocate tasks to Community Health Workers (CHWs), and monitor patient progress with regular follow-ups.
HIV Testing: Conduct on-the-spot HIV testing as needed.
Health Campaign Support: Assist with health campaigns, including school and crèche visits and administering vaccinations (e.g. measles, HPV, influenza).
Requirements
Valid registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
Experience in community-based healthcare services.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
