Job Title: Registered Nurse
Vacancy type: Temporary, 3 months, with ongoing agency shifts
Shifts: Monday to Friday
Pay rates: Earn up to R 250.35* per hour
Transport: Own transport required; reimbursement per kilometer

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Preventative Activities: Administer immunizations, Vitamin A, deworming treatments, and provide sexual and reproductive health services (family planning).
Women's Health: Perform cervical screenings and breast examinations in community settings.
Patient Care: Take blood samples (e.g., liver function) for bedridden patients when required.
Basic and Wound Care: Assess referrals from hospitals and Primary Health Care (PHC), create nursing care plans, allocate tasks to Community Health Workers (CHWs), and monitor patient progress with regular follow-ups.
HIV Testing: Conduct on-the-spot HIV testing as needed.
Health Campaign Support: Assist with health campaigns, including school and crèche visits and administering vaccinations (e.g., measles, HPV, influenza).
Requirements
Active registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
Proven experience in delivering community-based healthcare services.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
A strong commitment to improving community health and well-being.
