We are looking for a skilled nurse to join our team for a 3-month contract, working Monday to Friday with competitive pay rates of up to R 250.35* per hour.   • Job Title: Registered Nurse

  • Vacancy type: Temporary, 3 months, with ongoing agency shifts

  • Shifts: Monday to Friday

  • Pay rates: Earn up to R 250.35* per hour

  • Transport: Own transport required; reimbursement per kilometre

  • Location: Grabouw (view map) 

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Preventative Activities: Administer immunizations, Vitamin A, deworming treatments, and provide family planning health services. Perform cervical screenings and breast examinations in community settings.

  • Patient Care: Take blood samples for bedridden patients when required.

  • Basic & Wound Care: Assess referrals from hospitals and Primary Health Care, create nursing care plans, allocate tasks to Community Health Workers, and monitor patient progress with regular follow-ups.

  • HIV Testing: Conduct HIV testing as needed.

  • Health Campaign Support: Assist with health campaigns, including school and crèche visits and administering vaccinations.

Requirements

  • Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).

  • Experience in community healthcare.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

  • Able to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Commitment to improving community health.
